I approach design like I would any other craft project, dating back to my childhood. It has to be playful, I need to be having fun, and if I’m lucky, there’s a little humor in there too. That’s not to say it’s ever sloppy—unfortunately, I was a perfectionist as a child, and craft time meant serious business.

So over the past six years, running my own namesake label, I’ve been able to play… a lot (with the occasional pause to have a panic attack and pull my hair out from overworking—but we don’t need to get into that).

This book of stuff highlights some of my favorite projects from those years. This ship ran on a very small budget, so the majority of the design work here was done by me. But honestly, it was worth it. I learned a lot, messed up constantly, and had a blast doing it. And I’m looking forward to many more years of this.
